Basis of astrolog

Each planet has its own brand, numerical value, color and day of the week. This is knowledge that can be useful to you on the spiritual path. That's why it's good to know them. Astrology examines the cycles of the planets, the Sun, the Moon and their interrelationships. Almost everything is cyclical in nature. Luna goes through four phases every 29 and a half days: the first quarter (new moon), the second quarter, the third quarter (full moon) and the fourth quarter. The sun returns to the points of solstices and equinoxes every year (spring, summer, autumn, winter). Each planet has its fixed orbit around the Sun. These are all cycles. The universe is like big clocks and wheels inside other wheels, which in turn are in other wheels and we react to them.

The horoscope (also called the birth horoscope, natal horoscope, nativity, radix, etc.) is the so-called photographic moment of one moment. In the horoscope, they would stop like these big clocks, so it is important to know the date, time, and place of birth for the horoscope, because the moment of birth is a very important moment when we can examine the arrangement of the planets. Thanks to astrology, we can organize our lives differently, to understand it, because astrology offers us a way to organize and understand our experiences. After all, if we learn to monitor our life cycles and use them, we can solve our life problems more easily. By understanding how cycles repeat, how they work, we can get the most out of each phase of such a cycle.

SIGN OF THE ZODIAC

We have 12 zodiac signs and each of them has its own symbol and its own two-letter abbreviation.

ABBREVIATION OF THE ZODIAC SIGN:

AR BERAN
THE BULL
GE GEMINI
CN RAK
LE LEV
VI PANNA
IF WEIGHTS
SC ŠTÍR
SA SHOOTER
CP KOZOROH
AQ AQUARIUS
PI FISH

Each of these signs occupies thirty degrees on the horoscope circle.

DEGREES, MINUTES AND SECONDS

All the tips of the houses and the planetary positions in the natal horoscope are displayed according to where they were exactly in the given sign at the time of birth. The position is determined by the degree and a fraction of the degree. Minutes and seconds are a fraction of a degree.

One zodiac sign = 30 degrees
One degree = 60 minutes
One minute = 60 seconds

PLANETS

Astrology uses eight planets plus the Sun and Moon. The Sun and the Moon are not planets, but so-called "lights". However, astrology considers the Sun and the Moon to be planets when compiling and analyzing the natal horoscope. Even the planets have their abbreviations in the horoscope.

ABBREVIATION PLANET NAME:

MS - MONTH
SU - SUN
ME - MERKUR
VE - VENUS
MA - MARS
JU - JUPITER
SA - SATURN
UR - URANIUM
NO - NEPTUNE
PL - PLUTO

ASPECTS

An aspect is the distance between two planets at the time of birth, expressed in degrees and minutes. I.e. very important when interpreting a horoscope. When two planets are 60 degrees apart, they are said to be in SEXTILE. When the planets are 180 degrees apart, they are in OPPOSITION, etc. The angular distance may not be perfectly accurate. There is an acceptable tolerance called ORBIS.

Aspects bring an element of harmony or disharmony to the horoscope, which means either ease or difficulty. In general, we can say that the harmonic aspects include trigon, sextile and polosextile. Non-harmonic (problematic) aspects include quadrature, opposition and semi-quadrature. Conjunction can be both harmonic and non-harmonic - it depends on the planets involved and other factors.

EFEMERIDY

Ephemeris are the most important thing everyone must have in order to start doing astrology. Without ephemeris, you can't find virtually anything serious. Ephemeris is a book that lists the positions of all the planets on each day in the past, present and future.

REVERSE AND DIRECT MOVEMENT

I.e. indications relating to the motion of the planets in relation to the Earth. Direct - under the letter D refers to the normal direct motion of the planets when viewed from Earth. Retrograde (backward) motion - under the letter R, refers to the motion of planets whose direction, when viewed from Earth, appears to be backward. The sun and the moon are never retrograde. In fact, the planets do not move backwards, this is not even possible, but from the Earth's point of view it can sometimes seem so.

ASCENDENT

The abbreviation ASC means the outgoing sign and the degree of this sign, which emanates on the eastern horizon at the moment of birth with respect to the place on Earth where the birth took place. It is one of the most important points of the horoscope and is always the tip of the first house and this house rules.

CENTER OF HEAVEN

Abbreviation for MC (Medium Coeli or Meridian). MC is the highest point (directly above our heads) in the zodiac at the time of our birth in relation to the place on Earth where the birth occurred. The Center of Heaven (MC) is also one of the most important points of the natal horoscope. MC is always the tip of the tenth house and rules this house.

NORTH AND SOUTHERN KNOT

The northern lunar node is also called the Dragon's Head or Ascending at zel. In natal horoscopes, the South Node is usually not displayed, because it always lies exactly opposite the North Node. Nodes are always retrograde. Nodes are imaginary points in the universe that relate to geomagnetic fields related to the position of the Moon at the time of birth. Nodes are used in natal horoscope analysis.

TRIPLICITY

Each sign of the zodiac is associated with one of the three human qualities (trinity) - cardinality (Krd.), Fixation (Fix.) Or variability (Prom.).

TRANSIT

Transits are the positions of the planets at a given moment - not the positions where the planets were at birth. Transits horoscope activates or attracts small events to our lives. When we want to find out when an experience will take place, we compare the transit positions of the planets with the natal positions (at birth) and see if any aspects are formed between the transiting planets and the natal planets (conjunctions, trinities, sextiles, quadratures, opposition, etc.)

ELEMENTS

The four elements include fire, earth, air and water, and each sign of the zodiac falls into one of these elements. The horoscope represents the whole life and includes all the elements of life. Every horoscope contains all the signs and they affect the life of the person to whom the horoscope belongs. But not every sign is equally important in every horoscope, and that is actually the reason why we are each different.

FIRE EARTH AIR WATER
Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer
Lion Virgo Libra Scorpio
Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius Fish

Fiery signs are enthusiastic, energetic, optimistic, happy and cheerful signs.

Earth signs are practical, standing firmly on the ground - realistic, melancholic and careful.

The air signs are intellectuals, thinkers, mentally alert and hovering in the clouds.

Water signs are emotional, sensitive, intuitive, moody and fruitful signs.
